Elders

Christopher Ortiz was born in Brooklyn but moved frequently as a child. At age 12, he relocated to Puerto Rico, which is where the Lord saved him and where he sensed a call to ministry. In 2012, he moved to Jackson, TN where he began his pastoral training and his M.Div at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In 2018, his church sent him and his family back to NYC for gospel ministry. After serving as a church planting resident and local pastor for five years, he now serves as the main preaching pastor of Brooklyn Baptist Church. He is married to Sarah, and they have three children: Elena, Elijah, and Sofia.
